HI-203: Early Church History

This course surveys the major developments in the history of Christianity from the time of its founding to the modern era. It will cover theological, political, intellectual, and artistic contributions to and by the church.

PROFESSOR’S ADDITIONAL COMMENT
Many Christians today know very little about the history of the church. Some believers today have unwittingly raced from the Epistles of Paul to Martin Luther and the 95-theses, leaving centuries of church history unexplored. We can do better. In the weeks ahead, we will explore church history and separate fact from fiction. George Santayana said, “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.” It is imperative that we examine history and prayerfully approach this subject with all humility, so that we can avoid errors of the past and God willing, lead this current and future generation of believers to glory.
